Silhouette

Hello there everyone. I have a simple card for you today. Well simple for me anyway. :-) Take notice, especially those who know me, there is NO glitter. I just can't believe it myself, LOL
I am learning DP (designer paper) can really make a card just pop, with little effort. This paper is flocked and really adds richness to the card. Here's a list of the supplies I used and hope you'll enjoy it and maybe get a little inspiration.

Papers are from DCWV, "La Creme" matstack I got at Michaels.
The die for the Silhouette is from Marianne, pricey, but oh so worth it!
Spellbinder Beaded Ovals, Classic Ovals large, & Standard Circles small.
Martha Stewart border punch (trim hidden on left of oval)
Verse is from Whimsy stamps, Spring Letter Seals.
Hat button and ribbon are from my stash.
Thanks for stopping by,
Maureen

Inspire

Hello everyone. I've been away for a few days again. I was taking care of my friend Jenni's two little boys while they moved to Medford. A financially smart move for them, but I'll really miss the boys. Hopefully I'll still get to see them in the summer months.
I've made a card with a Fairy, one of my favorite things lately, to share with you. I will include the recipe at the end. I would love to have all the fairies from this line, they are so Vintage looking. I love coloring them. I hope you enjoy this one. Thanks for visiting.

Stamps: sentiment is Treasured Moments Tickets from Whimsy Stamps, Fairy is Candytuft from Crafters Companion Stamps.
Papers: are from K & Company & Mulberry paper from my stash.
I used Spellbinders Beaded Ovals and Treading Water border punch from Fiskers to make the trim under the butterflies.
Pearl trims are from my stash and the pearl trim around the sentiment is a new product called Viva Pearl Pen. I didn't care for Liquid Pearls so I'm trying this product out. Too soon to pass judgement. I'll let you know at a later date. Ribbon is also from my stash of sale ribbons I pick up here & there. :-)
Copic Markers for coloring
Skin: E000, E00
Hair: Y21, E31 (wierd combo, but it works)
Dress, wings, pink flowers & butterflies: R81, R83, R85
White flowers: Touched with Y000 for centers
Stems: YG03, Y21

Happy Birthday

Hi there everyone. I have posted a Birthday card for a dear friend. I made it a few weeks ago and didn't want to show it until she received it. Spoiling the surprise was NOT an option. This card is done with a digital image from Sugar Nellie Stamps. I love these little girls, there are four different ones. If I had to choose a favorite, I could not. These stamps come in rubber as well, but I seem to be leaning more toward digital stamps as storage space has started to become an issue. Can you all relate?? I'll do my best to list what I used to put this card together, but I may miss a thing or two, as I stated before it's been a while since I made it. I am starting to write down things I use as I go along so as to make it easier when I post. So bear with me as I learn about blogging. :-) If you have any specific questions about my work, just leave me a comment & I'll answer ASAP. Thanks for stopping by.

Eat, drink & be happy

Hi there everyone. I've been MIA for a few days now. I had a couple of cards to finish for an order and make a card for a friend of mine's birthday. Here's my latest cutie pie. I love these little house mouse stamps. I usually color them with my Prisma Color pencils, but I've tried my hand this time with my Copics and I'm very happy with the results. I used a background shadow technique I saw on a video from Suzanne Dean. I like it alot on this image, he looks like he's laying in sand, kinda cute. I had tried this on one of my little girl images and was so disappointed in the way it turned out, so I'm thinking it will be just a matter of choice to use this shadowing effect.
Here's an up close view of of my little guy. I believe this one is Mudpie. They all have names. How cute is that? Enjoy!
